Last night saw the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum

rain or shine!

Last night saw the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum. It was awesome! I love how he was inspired by nature and animals, I liked the bark of a tree impressions on some designs and the symbolism within his artistic and creative and inspiring work on the beautiful, the ugly, history, his Scottish heritage and life and death-- all  really impressive throughout the large exhibit. Today is the last day to view it. Look at the line when I was leaving last night.

My favorite was the dress of shells. And the skirt design made from wood, he also used pheasant feathers and goose feathers within his designs, really detailed and textured.  Amazing!

If you couldn't make the show, you should check out the book that showcases the designs from the exhibit Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty, view some images from his collection here: http://homedesign.marthastewart.com/2011/08/inspiration-alexander-mcqueen.html

It's sad he died so young,
